Indie Hotspot presents its second concert of its monthly Jazz Series this Wednesday night, at 8 pm, in Silver Lake venue, El Cid.  The Indie Hotspot Jazz Series, launched in June,  hosted by musician and entertainer Kaylene Peoples, features new and established jazz talent of the highest caliber.

Actor and jazz crooner Jay Jackson (a.k.a. Perd Hapley on Parks & Recreation TV Series) will treat us to some rousing jazz and blues tunes.  As mentioned in this recent interview, he’ll probably share with us some of his original compositions,  as well as a few humorous anecdotes…Kaylene Peoples will introduce two Special Guests, young jazz talent Sophia Bastian, and Star Trek diva and jazz singer Chase Masterson….

Come hear some great jazz, have some delicious tapas from El Cid, and try out the raspberry habanero, a dangerously tasty cocktail using LauraAnn’s jam…it promises to be altogether delectable evening!  El Cid is at 4212 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90029 (just East of Fountain) and there’s plenty of parking.  Doors open at 7:30 pm, WireImage  (Getty Images) will be there…Buy your tickets at the door, but why stay in line, when you can get them in advance at:  http://indiehotspotsilverlakejazzseries.eventbrite.com.  See you there!
